The story takes us through a journey of eternal love between a couple who have vowed to love each other not only in this life, but in every life to follow. Their love is so strong that even destiny wants to bring them together. In 1910, during the midst of freedom struggle, a Muslim boy (Javed) falls in love with a Punjabi girl (Aaradhana). Next it switches to 1960, where an aspiring music director Govind meets and falls hopelessly in love with the most successful actress of the era Rukhsar.

The best part in the movie is the chemistry between the duo and the way Kunal concludes the three stories.
